The Battle of The Dogger Bank, The Indomitable towing The Lion by Charles Dixon. (B)

The Indomitable towing the damaged battle-cruiser Lion during the Battle of The Dogger Bank on January 24th 1915. Had the Lion not been damaged by a stray shot during the action, the British victory would have been significantly more decisive and might have prevented the remaining German ships from successfully fleeing behind their mine-fields.

The Roaring Lion by Arthur J W Burgess.

Depicts HMS Lion during the Battle of Dogger Bank, January 1915. The original painting was exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1915.
