| Ships of the Victorian Era.
Our section on the ships of the Victorian Era highlights some of the
important vessels of this naval age. Battleships, cruisers and
destroyers were all important in this era, from the bombardment of
Alexandria to the battles of Tsushima and Manila Bay. This pre-ww1
era also saw the launch of perhaps the most important ship of all - HMS
Dreadnought, a revolutionary ship that made all ships built for the same
purpose instantly obsolete. A complete list of all ships from this era can
be found at the bottom of this page.
